Parvana is a cruel and terrifying book, but also full of hope strength and major steps of courage. It takes set in Kabul the main city of Afghanistan. The first setting is in Parvana house with her family it is a one room apartment that they whole family has to share. But one late night the Taliban storms into parvanas house and they take her father away for multiple reasons, his last words to parvana was " Take care of the others my Malali" That was the last she saw of him. Even through there is no boys in the house the family still has to survive so the send Parvana out to get food and one of the soldiers found her and hit hard on the shoulder, she screamed and ran off. While she was running she ran into someone it was her old teacher, she takes her teacher back to her house, by this time mother was very depressed cause of father. Around a week of Ms. Weera came with a solution for there food struggle, they turn paravan into a boy. Now she can go out and work in the market place, earn money for the family and get everything they need. Parvana did not like this but she went along with it anyway. She earns all the money the family need and they have enough food to live but life is still though without father. She makes some bad descisions one of the main things was when she went and dig up graves to earn more money for the family. Her mother didn't like that Parvana was digging up there ansisters, but she let her contiued anyway because Ms, weera conviced her. Then towards the end of the book parvana sister gets married and has to move away fro her family. Ms weera would be looking after parvana while her family is gone, but one day when Parvana came home she saw her father begin helped up the stairs by two starngers. When parvana tells father abouth their family moving so nooria could get married. she told her father about how they moved, parvana finds out that where they move was the home of the tablian, her and her father set off and became refguees lookinf for they family, by this time Ms weera found a way out of Afganstain too.
