"She heard her father say" take care of the others, my Malali". Then he was gone. Page 33. the way that this book impacts me so much is because it just makes me imagine if my mother had to go like if she was taken away by the police She would of said something like Parvana father said to her then of course i would have to let go of her, just like Parvana did with her father, but it was most likely harder for Parvana because her father was taken by the Taliban and they more of a chance of her father getting killed but but where I live there is props only a very slim chance of my mother begin killed if she was arrested. For Parvana it would of been more stressful because she knew that there was only a little chance of her father coming back home.
"That's no way to keep up the team spirit," Mrs Weera said." Pg:63.
The way this impacts me so much is because in our house that would be again saying "that is no way to keep up the team spirit." She says it whenever anyone in the family starts to have an argument about anything that is going on in the house. It calms me down only a little bit. Like Parvana she basically, ignored her sisters comments about her and just walked away that is exactly what I do when my sister starts to insult me.
"But you never even met him!"Parvana exclamid to Nooria" Pg:137.
I can relate to this because my sister went on tinder and she was going to go out and meet this guy on this website called tinder. I yelled at here and told here that she is crazy to go and meet a guy she had never meet and that maybe bad things will happen. In the end she ending up listening to my mum who said she was grounded for having that website. At that moment when my sister told me she was going pout to meet this guy like Parvana i cracked it and started telling her that she was crazy for doing that which she was. This is one of the strongest connections i have this part of this book.
